Chicago Zine Fest Updates
Hey there my little Chickadees,
The soon to be annual Chicago Zine Fest kicks off, officially, tomorrow with a reading at Quimby’s then an art show then movies, then the next day is the full exhibit/show/thing. You can read all about it in this article in The Chicagoist in which this little tiny monster is mentioned. It’s so exciting to be part of something that feels really big. I just love making zines and am super excited about meeting others that feel the same way. I think tomorrow night I might post some of the new stuff for issue 5 to get your tummies grumbling for more.

So I was just informed that he previous post had a serious typo. It has since been corrected. I’d like to reiterate that we are indeed accepting submission and would love to see what deer wolf bear shark, deer, wolf, bear, or shark, stuff you have bouncing around your brain cases. Updates
Hello Everyone,
First of all, Chicago Zine Fest is less than 2 weeks away. It is most exciting. Second, brand new podcast at www.ddwbs.tumblr.com so check that out. There is a pretty big announcement in there. And finally, we’re now accepting submissions for issue 5!
Issue 5 is going to be very exciting, we have already received 2 great submissions with more on the way. In this issue we’re doing away with the Pat Sajak openings. What will replace them? No one knows. But if you’re interesting in submitting check out the “How to submit” page or send an email to me here.

Them Hips!
Our friends over at I Like the Way You Move Them Hips did a wonderful write up for the show on the 13th. There are videos, interviews, pictures, pretty much everything you could ask for except for a piece of that delicious birthday cake. There was a birthday cake at the show! And it was very good. Again, super thanks to everyone that helped out, the show really couldn’t have happened without such talented and generous people.
So, anyway, check that out. I should have a podcast up later tonight talking about the show and the future. Speaking of the future, I’ll be sharing a table with Little Brother and This Endless Present at the Chicago zine fest on March 13th at Columbia College. This Endless Present: Dreamzine
Dreams are a mysterious and fascinating aspect of the human experience that can be so much more than something that simply occurs during sleep. Many people are inspired and influenced by dreams in ways they may not even describe or understand.
This Endless Present, the dreamzine, provides an ongoing, open assignment for dreaming. It is a place where dreams can become much more than what they began as. Dreams are relayed and visually represented, and any type of artwork or created project that was inspired by, discusses, or relates to a dream or dreams are welcome.

Linkin’ Logs
As you all know tomorrow is the big bad birthday release variety show at the house cafe. You did know that…right? Well it is, doors open at 7:30 $5 to get in $3 in semi-formal attire, and FREE if you’re dressed as a dear, wolf, bear, or shark in formal wear. We’re talking black tie bear or silk dress shark, none of this ‘well this is my good cardigan’ business if you want in for free.
Anyway, moving on to important stuff. Did you know there’s a fantastic new chicago entertainment blog starting up called I like the way you move them hips? Well I just found out about it myself, so don’t feel too bad. There’s a comfortable feel to the writing on this site, not pretentious at all, as you may expect from an entertainment blog. I like it. I do, really, seriously. Not just because I’m in it. Oh, did I mention I’m in it? Because I am. Funny that I forgot to say that. Yes, ILTWYMTH did a short write up for the show mentioned above and will be recording some of the show tomorrow. Along with there will also be an interview with me. So check it out, check out the show, check out your groceries and go buy a giant 70′s faux fur coat.
